DPC Manager Version 4.0 Utility:

Meriam Process Technologies is pleased to announce the release of DPC Manager Version 4.0 used to update model MFC 4100 and MFC 4150 HART® Communicators as well as model MFT 4000 Calibrators and MFT 4005 / 4010 Calibrators / HART® Communicators with the latest operating firmware and DOF (HART® communication) files.

Version 4.0 includes new automation and user preference features for convenient updates and memory management. Earlier versions no longer support automated registration of download features. Meriam recommends that customers download and install Version 4.0 at their earliest convenience.

New v 4.0 automation features:

• Registers the connected handheld and checks download subscription status upon clicking “Internet Check for Updates” button. All available firmware and DOF files (when applicable) are retrieved from the download site via the Internet. 

• Tree View of HART® DOFs on the connected handheld automatically populates upon clicking “Update Handheld” button.

• Checks handheld memory to provide guidance for Updating new and revised DOFs or Re-installing all selected DOFs (this lets you know when you need to recover fragmented memory)

• Estimates and displays the time required to update the connected handheld
  

New v 4.0 handheld memory management features:

• The Tree View of HART® devices is used to manage handheld memory by excluding unneeded HART® manufacturers or devices - check the manufacturers or individual devices you need, un-check those you do not need

• Calculation of % Memory Available enables v 4.0 to guide users to Update Handhelds (add new and revised DOFs to handheld memory) or Re-Install DOFs when needed (deletes handheld DOFs and re-installs those checked in Tree View)

• Save your custom list of needed HART® manufacturers and devices as a “Profile” for future updating sessions

• Recall saved Profiles for use with any of your handhelds

• Updating handhelds from a Profile enables v 4.0 to automatically add new device DOFs for checked manufacturers as they become available

• Updating handhelds from a Profile enables v 4.0 to automatically add DOFs revisions for checked devices as they become available
  

Meriam recommends that customers download and install Version 4.0 at their earliest convenience. Simply uninstall the existing DPC Manager version from your PC, click on the “Get DPC Manager” icon below and launch the setup.exe file to install v 4.0.
